Recently, one of my client have asked me "is it possible to save all attachments from all received emails?", so I anwsered him yes... there must have an option somewhere on the Microsoft Outlook allows you to do that.
My research has began, found that you can only save multiple attachment from one email and that is no good for us. Until I went through a program called "Outlook Attach View" and it worked like a charm.
OutlookAttachView scans all messages stored in your Outlook, and displays the list of all attached files that it finds. You can easily select one or more attachments and save all of them into the desired folder, as well as you can delete unwanted large attachments that take too much disk space in your mailbox. You can also save the list of attachments into xml/html/text/csv file.
What my client wanted to download is "All the attachments that is .pdf file in all the emails".
Let's get it started
Step 1 - Download the program and extract on to your desktopOutlookAttachView
Step 2 -Launch the program and Go Through the Scan Options
See below screenshot what the settings I have changed according to the clients requirement.
"Received emails" - Scan all incoming emails
"pdf files" - Only return pdf attachment files
"Inbox" - All emails
Once you got your options set, just click OK to start scanning.
Step 3 -Select All the Results and Save those attachments
To save those attachments, File -> Copy Selected Attachments to ...
Browse the directory where you want your attachments to be saved at to and click OK.
